Winnebago County was in need to replace their outdated General Aviation terminal and commercial service terminal which date back to 1958 and 1971 with a new modern terminal. This new terminal serves at the gateway to Oshkosh, Winnebago County, and the Fox Valley Region. We designed a new single story 12,746 sq.ft. facility that serves general aviation air traffic along with providing space for Basler Flight Service, administrative offices, space for rental car operations, and meeting rooms available to the general public. This greatly modernizes aviation services and reduces operation and maintenance costs.
This new facility also opened in time for the return of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh which is held every summer at Wittman Regional Airport. Every July for a week, the airport becomes the busiest airfield in the world as 500,000 visitors and 10,000 planes ranging from small home-built aircraft to a giant Airbus A380 fill the runways.
