DO IT BEST DISTRIBUTION CENTER

This new 580,000 sf warehouse and distribution center for Do it Best Corporation serves its’ retail hardware store/members in 10 states. The success of this project stems from the owner, contractor and architect collaborating together from the planning and site selection phase through the final move-in. The full project from site selection to occupancy was 18 months. With all parties represented, no time was wasted considering ideas that didn’t meet the programmatic needs of the owner, the code requirements or budget constraints. This new facility features a state-of-the-art automated inventory storage and retrieval system. 16,000 sf of the building is dedicated to offices and employee space and over 40,000 sf has been set aside as a fire rated room for storage of paint and other hazardous materials. Internally, there are three story structures that independently stand within the main building structure and house small product inventory storage space. The facility also boasts a state-of-the-art fire suppression system to protect its massive inventory.
