BOTTLE WORKS LOFTS

Bottle Works Lofts

This adaptive reuse project is an exciting redevelopment effort for the City of Fort Wayne and developer, MVAH Partners. Funded by Rental Housing and Historic Tax Credits, the Coca Cola Bottling Works Plant will be renovated into 30, 2-3 bedroom, loft style rental units (38,891 sf for the Main Structure and approximately 10,238 sf for the "North Shed"). Additional new construction will produce 31 single-family homes that surround the historic bottle works site. Striking the balance between appropriate development standards and practices as well as the preservation of those identifiable historic characteristics was at the heart of the solution for the design team.

MartinRiley has successfully completed Parts 1 and 2 of the Determination of Eligibility with the expectation that Part 3 and the National Register of Historic Places nomination will follow soon. This project serves as the centerpiece for other development that has occurred in the areas surround the bottle works site. New housing opportunity and additional improvements will provide needed, high quality and affordable housing in an area of the city that currently lacks the catalyst of new development.

Currently, the project is under construction with an anticipated completion date of June, 2019.
